(a)Except as provided by this section, the accreditation and regulation of schools and courses of study in real estate inspection and the approval of instructors will be conducted as required for real estate schools by §535.64 of this title (relating to Accreditation of Schools and Approval of Courses and Instructors, §535.65 of this title (relating to Changes in Ownership or Operation of School; Presentation of Courses, Advertising, and Records ) and §535.66 of this title (relating to Payment of Annual Fee, Audits, Investigations and Enforcement Actions). If an instructor was approved prior to the effective date of this section, the approval of the instructor expires May 1, 2001, and the instructor may apply for approval at any time. (b)A person applying for accreditation of a real estate inspection school shall use application forms approved by the commission . All courses must be approved by the commission prior to being offered for credit. A school accredited by the commission to offer real estate courses is not required to apply for an accreditation under this section to offer real estate inspection courses, provided all courses offered by the school have been approved by the commission. The commission may submit proposed courses to the Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee for review and recommendation.
