(a)A person licensed as an appraiser by another state,
commonwealth, or territory may register with the Board so as to qualify
to appraise real property in this state without holding a license
issued under the Act if:
(1)the state, commonwealth or territory licensing
program under which the person holds a license has not been disapproved
by the ASC; and
(2)the appraiser's business in this state is of a
temporary nature not to exceed six months.
(b)A person wishing to be registered under this section
must:
(1)submit an [a completed]
application for registration on a form approved by the
Board;[.]
(2)pay the required fees; and
(3)provide all supporting documentation
or information requested by the Board in connection with the application
for registration.
(c)A person registered under this section must submit
an irrevocable consent to service of process in this state on a form
approved by the Board.
(d)A person registered under this section may apply
for a 90 day extension to the original expiration date of the temporary
registration, provided the person:
(1)is continuing the same appraisal assignment listed
on the original application for temporary out-of-state appraiser registration;
and
(2)requests an extension on a form approved by the
Board, received by the Board or postmarked prior to the expiration
of the current temporary registration.
(e)A person who registers under this
section is not required to comply with the fingerprint requirements
in §153.12 of this title.
The agency certifies that legal counsel has reviewed
the proposal and found it to be within the state agency's legal authority
to adopt.
