The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) adopts the repeal of §535.222, concerning standards of practice for licensed inspectors, without changes to the proposed text as published in the December 31, 1999, issue of the Texas Register (25 TexReg 11870).

The section has been replaced by new sections dividing the standards of practice into five parts. Adoption of the repeal was necessary to replace the current inspection standards of practice with revised standards which are easier to read and to use.

No comments were received regarding the proposal.

The repeal is adopted under Texas Civil Statutes, Article 6573a, §5(h), which authorizes the Texas Real Estate Commission to make and enforce all rules and regulations necessary for the performance of its duties.
