The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) adopts amendments to §153.5, concerning Fees, without changes to the proposed text as published in the March 9, 2012, issue of the Texas Register (37 TexReg 1635) and will not be republished.

The amendments delete a reference to payment of fees with currency, as the agency can no longer accept cash, and delete provisions regarding National Registry fees that are duplicative of §1103.156, Texas Occupations Code.

No comments were received on the amendments to the rule as proposed.

The reasoned justification for the amendments to §153.5 is clarity and conformity with agency acceptance of payment policy.

The amendments are adopted under the Texas Occupations Code, §1103.151, Rules Relating to Certificates and Licenses.

The statutes affected by these amendments are Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1103.

No other statute, code, or article is affected by the amendments.
