The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) adopts amendments to 22 TAC §159.109, Inactive Status, with nonsubstantive changes to the proposed text as published in the June 7, 2013, issue of the Texas Register (38 TexReg 3475). The amendments are adopted to provide a procedure for a registered Appraisal Management Company to elect to be placed on inactive status.

The reasoned justification for the amendments is to have a clear process in place when an Appraiser Management Company wants to become inactive.

No comments were received on the proposed amendments.

The amendments are adopted under Texas Occupations Code, §1104.051, which authorizes the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board to adopt rules necessary to establish and enforce standards related to appraisal management services.

The statute affected by these amendments is Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1104. No other statute, code or article is affected by the amendments.
