The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) proposes amendments to §535.201, concerning Definitions and §535.206, concerning The Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee, in Subchapter R of Chapter 535, General Provisions, with non-substantive changes to the text as proposed in the August 27, 2021, Texas Register (46 TexReg 5345) and will be republished.

The amendments to §535.201 corrects a reference to the Standards of Practice in subsection (3). The reference was inadvertently listed as §535.232 in the proposal and should have been §535.233. The amendments to §535.206 also extend the year the committee is abolished to correspond with SB 713 of the 87th Legislature, which extended the Commission's sunset review date to 2031.

The Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee recommends the amendments to §535.201.

The amendments are adopted under Texas Occupations Code §1101.151, which authorizes the Texas Real Estate Commission to adopt and enforce rules necessary to administer Chapters 1101 and 1102; and to establish standards of conduct and ethics for its license holders to fulfill the purposes of Chapters 1101 and 1102.
