Notice of Application for Sale, Transfer, or Merger
Notice is given to the public of an application filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (commission) on September 25, 2018, under the Public Utility Regulatory Act, Tex. Util. Code Ann. §39.154 and §39.158. Docket Style and Number: Application of CalTex Holdings, LLC Under §39.158 of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, Docket Number 48713. The Application: CalTex Holdings, LLC filed an application for approval of the sale of 100% of the Class B interests in Texas Big Spring, LLC, a 34.3 MW wind generation facility located in Howard County to BAL Investment & Advisory, Inc. (BALIA). CalTex Holdings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CalTex Parent, LLC. The wind project company is interconnected to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). The combined generation owned and controlled by BALIA and its affiliates following the proposed purchase will not exceed twenty percent of the total electricity offered for sale in ERCOT.
