The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, shall
have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates
otherwise.
(1)Comptroller--The comptroller of public accounts
of the State of Texas.
(2)Designated headquarters--The city limits of the
town in which a person's headquarters are located.
[(3)Official mileage guide--The "Texas
Mileage Guide" (available in print and electronically) issued under
Government Code, §660.043(c). It is intended as a guide for state
employees to use in the calculation of mileage reimbursement while
on state business.]
(3)[(4)] Payroll period--Designates
the time period for which full-time state employees receive payment
for services to the state.
(4) [(5)] State pay warrant--A
warrant issued by the comptroller payable at the treasury for services
rendered to the state.
(5)Transportation network company--An
entity that uses a digital network service to connect people to transportation
services provided by a transportation network company driver.
(6)Transportation network driver--A
person who uses a personal vehicle to participate with a transportation
network company to provide prearranged transportation services to
people for pay.
(7)[(6)] Travel voucher--An
accounting document used to implement payment to state officials and
employees for travel expenses incurred in the discharge of state business.
The agency certifies that legal counsel has
reviewed the proposal and found it to be within the state agency's
legal authority to adopt.
